If the accident is partly my fault, can I still make a claim?

PDF Print E-mail

In Kansas, as long as the accident is not more your fault than anyone else's involved in the case, you can recover your damages. However, your damages will be reduced by your percentage of fault. For example, if your case was worth $10,000, and you were 30% at fault, you would be allowed to recover $7,000. However, your percentage of fault has absolutely nothing to do with your right to recover your no-fault automobile insurance benefits.
